LG gain two points at ELEAGUE S1

Luminosity have earned two points at the ELEAGUE Season 1 as they beat Renegades twice in the opening matches of the $1,4 million tournament (19-17 on Cobblestone and 16-0 on Train).
The first two matches in Atlanta, Georgia were between Renegades and Luminosity. Although it might seem like a best-of-two series, the maps were regarded as separate matches and each map victory rewarded the winning side with one point.
The first map was Cobblestone and the T-sided Renegades secured the pistol round despite giving up the first kill. Winning the anti-ecos gave the Aussies two more rounds but Luminosity reigned supreme in the full weapon rounds as Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo started warming up with the AWP (3-3).
Luminosity start off strong
The Australians stopped Luminosity's four round streak, tying it at 4-4 but Renegades' economy got reset as they lost the subsequent round. Renegades grabbed the last round of the half with Aaron "AZR" Ward's ace and they trailed 6-9 at halftime.
Luminosity picked up the pistol round in the second half but Renegades answered back in the following round (10-7). Renegades took the lead but couldn't extend it as Luminosity tied the game at 11-11. The map went to overtime as the regulation ended with a 15-15 tie.
Renegades started on the CT-side of overtime and got two rounds against Luminosity's one in the first half (17-16). The Brazilians secured all three of the second half rounds and won the first match 19-17, taking home one point.
AZR's effort did not suffice on Cobblestone
FalleN & company had a hot start to Train as they attained a 4-0 lead on the CT-side to kick things off. The Brazilians did not slow down and extended their lead to 7-0, triggering a timeout by Renegades. The pause wasn't useful for the Aussies as they kept losing one round after another.
The total obliteration kept going and Luminosity were in front with a 15-0 lead at halftime despite the occasional bomb plants of Renegades. The Brazilian side won the match 16-0 and marked their names in the history of ELEAGUE as the first flawless victors.
The next match will be between Liquid and Cloud9 and you can find streams for the North American clash on our match page.
